Luke 3:15 - 18 Burning Chaff and “Useful Data”

People really do look to God for hope. Even the people in ancient Israel were waiting “expectantly” and wondering in their hearts if John was the Messiah.

John sets them straight and teaches us some amazing things about what the Messiah will do. And it includes the “good news” of Judgment.

And proclaiming Good News didn’t always mean talking people into a religious expression, as much as it meant sharing “useful data” that made a difference in people’s lives.

Dear me, that makes scientists modern-day evangelists—-and others like them.

PRAYER: Holy Father, Open the eyes of our hearts so that we may “see” you and exactly what your love entails. In Christ’s name, Amen.
