Mama to the Rescue Part 2
This painting was inspired actually by a scripture in Zechariah chapter 8. It speaks of four chariots charging between two bronze mountains. It has somehow evolved into being one of the scenes in the story “Lizzie, and the Magic Staircase.”
Lizzie has to be rescued. Somewhere between using the key to go into the room "The Scare Cat" led her into, she ended up deep in the bowels of the earth, all the way down to its second core. A daring rescue will be necessitated. A Mama will make it happen. But accessing it will involve bravery on Lizzie's part, coming up from the bowels of the earth and having to cross quantum electron steps to get to the point where Mom can swoop her up and take her away.
But like in life, her mom always has her eye on her. No matter where she goes.
PS: My favorite part of this whole project for me is that the faces are no bigger than a dime. Painting them actually took using toothpicks for some parts. I suppose I'll graduate to chopsticks next time.
PSS: I snarfed the horses from a sketch that either Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci did for the painting they were supposed to paint together, but never completed.
