Luke 2:34-35 The Lost Art of Blessing and the Magic Sword

Two things stand out in this study. The power servants have to bless (we do a bit of a biblical overview about that one). And the revelation of the “magic” sword Simeon mentions in his blessing of Mary.

Ok, so maybe magic is a bit of a stretch.

But what if I told you there was a sword that that could help you cut to the chase, and help you get to the truth, even the truths about you that you can’t face or don’t know that are there?

Such a “magic,” more appropriately “miraculous” sword exists. It exists in two different ways. One might say it’s a sword that reflects Chalcedonian conclusions about Christ centuries ago, when they talked about the duality of Christ’s nature---He was one person with two natures (God and human).

This sword is “one” sword with two very distinct but connected manifestations.

And it is indeed miraculous---or to use a term most would more easily relate to because of our inundation with fairy tales, wizard academies and television shows where people time travel through Stone Henge like stones---magic.

And it’s more accessible to you and I and all than we realize.

In this study, we’ll take a fascinating look at Simeon’s blessing to Jesus’ parents, and His mother Mary in particular.
